It is the first video game of Star Wars. It was a side scrolling game published by Parker Brothers in 1982 for the Atari 2600 console and later in 1983 for the Mattel Intellivision console. It was the first video game created based on the Star Wars saga. In the game, the player belongs to the Rebel Alliance and controls a Snowspeeder to fight the Imperial Walkers AT-AT on the planet Hoth.

Released for Atari 2600 and 5200 by ColecoVision as an arcade game, it is was a video game of spaceships rail-shooter style with 3D vector graphics. It represented the battle told by the Death Star.

It was noted for being one of the first high quality video games to use the augmented reality to use the player’s view as a scenario of the battles.
