The candidate who is elected for the position of CFO must be a long-term executive with experience and holds the following capabilities and characteristics to fulfill the job without any lacking in the execution of the assigned tasks.
A solid track record in the management and supervision of a full range of institutional services for complex operations, including finance and information technology, preferably in an international environment.
A thorough understanding of the needs and challenges of the clients, different national and regional areas, market idiosyncrasies and factors driving change in the region.
Knowledge of the financial and non-financial products of the company with and without sovereign guarantee, including the product portfolio and relevant regulations.
Knowledge and experience in capital markets and their activities, including investment mechanics, financing, financial swaps, liquidity management, asset and liability management and derivatives. The knowledge and experience of valuation models and financial projections will be considered of great value, as well as knowledge in project financing.
Substantial knowledge in the planning and execution of financial strategies and experience in the formulation, execution and evaluation of financial policies, instruments and services, as well as in risk management, with clear accountability for losses and profits.
Understanding the operational frameworks of multilateral institutions or the public sector including their special structures of governance, mandates, safeguards and human resources.
Ability to attract, select and motivate a talented and diverse staff and the ideal candidate is an outstanding and effective supervisor who models inclusive behaviors and promotes diversity.
Ability to plan and manage human resources and operations in order to obtain quality results in a productive and financially sustainable way along with strong inclination towards the provision of customer services.
Proven leadership and management skills, having a solid experience in managing change in a complex environment is considered an advantage.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and proven ability to foster a working environment in which cooperation and effective working with key employees and stakeholders at all levels, including administration, executive directors, institutional interpersonal committees and external partners.
