Rey Boo
He first appeared in Luigi’s Mansion, as the main villain of the game, where he catches Mario in a box. It also appears in the games like Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart Wii and Mario Party.
Goombas
The Goombas are brown mushrooms that walk freely through the platform games of Mario, and burst them by jumping them in the head. They have fangs and brown skin. There are also goombas with wings called Paragoombas.
Shy Guy
Shy Guy are tiny beings, native to forests or jungles. They are characterized by having a spear, a ‘Jason’ type mask, and a suit of different colors, although almost always red, that cover all their bodies. It debuted in Super Mario Bros 2 in the western version.
Appearing in Mario’s sports games, such as Mario Tennis 64, he also appeared in Yoshi’s Story. They are called Shy Guy becuase they hide their face with a mask and parts of their body. They do not speak but now in M & L: Bowser’s Inside Story, they only emit small murmurs and communicate with gestures.
They are a great community of shy guys, and everyone holds a job as there are cooks, doctors, pirates and so on. This is demonstrated in the fourth phase of the game Paper Mario, where the characters enter the territory of the shy-guys. Their leader is General Guy.
Hammer Brothers
The Hammer Brothers are a type of koopa with helmets, elbow pads and knee pads that throw hammers or boomerangs to stop Mario. Their first appearance was in Mario Bros. (1983) and since then they are the obstacles in the games and playable characters in sports. Their last appearance was in Mario Super Sluggers as playable characters. It can be said that this enemy is harder to avoid.
Floro Piranha
Floro Piranha is like a Piranha plant but with certain differences as it is large, green and its lower part has two roots with the shape of legs and the area of the belly colored red with white circles. Her head is very large compared to her body and features a wreath of the orange petals around her. Her lips are green. It also presents a pair of leaves in the form of arms that usually help her to fly.
