The new DJI Spark can be paired with our mobile, thanks to the DJI GO application, which can be found in both Android as well as iOS. With this application, we will be able to receive the image in the real time that the DJI Spark picks up with its camera and also we will have two lateral controls with which to move it up and down, towards the sides, to rotate it and to make it move in the advanced direction or backwards.
The operation with the mobile is good although we do not have the sensitivity of the physical remote control. Also, with the fingers on the screen, we lose some vision when we control the DJI Spark. Overall the experience is good, but if we have the opportunity, getting us the remote control will be a good decision as well, especially when we activate the Sport mode. In the Sport mode, the DJI Spark turn out to be much more fun, but it is better that we use the remote for its 50k m/h speed.
The DJI Spark moves at a slow pace to be controllable at a fair speed, and thanks to its camera which can detect the obstacles and applies the brake before colliding, although its structure is made to resist the impacts without deforming or affecting the operation of the device. The problem is that when we activate the Sport mode, the control with the mobile appears to be insufficient for the reason that the power of the DJI Spark requires a more accurate system.
The Sport mode makes the DJI Spark release all its power, at the cost of reducing the autonomy of the theoreticians of total 15 minutes to approximately 10 minutes. It also causes the shock sensors to become insufficient, and it takes place at the speed of 50 kilometers per hour, as a result, we will hit any obstacle before the our DJI Spark has a chance to use the application of brake.
This is precisely why in Sport mode, the mobile is not the best way to use and yes the remote will be, with which we can control the DJI Spark without needing to be looking at our hands or the screen.
We can also have DJI Goggles, which are compatible with the DJI Spark, although at the moment they are not available.
